Rules

Our main priority is to provide a space where we're comfortable being ourselves away from the mainstream social media services, relaxing, talking about things that are important to us, and meeting new friends.

As such, the rules are different to the usual "do what you like, but don't interfere with our revenue stream", and are more about keeping our instance enjoyable for everyone else.

Content Policy

• Discussions in any language are allowed.
• Lewd or graphic content should always be marked sensitive, or tagged by adding a note to the post title in case of text. Some users may be underage and you should be cautious of excessive lewd posting on the public timeline.
• Please also mark any content that flashes, or makes loud noises.
• Sexualisation of minors will result in your account being suspended and reported to your local authorities.
• Any advocation of fascism, of any related ideologies, any fascist imagery, or any genocide denial or apologia for genocidal regimes will result in your account being suspended. Similarly, many users here are leftists, but firmly anti-tank. If you're the type of person to approve of sending in the tanks to crush student revolts, or defend such things out of tepid contrarianism, you won't find yourself welcome.
• Don't share any layperson's personal information without consent, and delete stuff about a person if they ask you to.
• Make sure your profile picture isn't lewd, disturbing, or not-work-safe, because there's no way for users or other instances to avoid seeing it without blocking you.
• Our instance doesn't exist for self-promotion or advertising, unless you're actually contributing something unique, like your progress on your personal projects.

Behaviour Policy

• Remember you're in a public space, you're dealing with real people, and be considerate of how they and people around you might feel. Shouting matches aren't really why any of us are here.
• Likewise, excessive political ranting or excessive negative posting ‐ you have the tools to make these quieter (subjects and post scopes). Be considerate of others and try to use them.
• Please disengage from a conversation or interaction when asked.
• Please respect any person's request not to be approached in a certain way.
• Please try to post a source for any third-party artwork. If you don't know the source, please try a service like tineye.

Remote Instances

Instances that allow content or behaviours that break our rules will be blocked. If you encounter such an instance, or any instance with people that cause you harm, please let the admins know immediately.
